In December 2009, though little attention was paid to it at the time, Wisconsin’s then-Governor Jim Doyle signed a bill into law that force feeds unions on schoolchildren:
Wisconsin schools will be required to teach the history of organized laborunder a bill signed by Gov. Jim Doyle.
The bill Doyle signed Thursday also requires Wisconsin schools to teach the history of collective bargaining.
The proposal has been around for years but never passed. This year it cleared the Democratic controlled Legislature despite opposition from school boards and administrators who said they didn’t want the curriculum micromanaged.
Labor unions supported the bill.

"However, it is unlikely that the lesson plan will explain how the 1959 Great Steel Strike led to the demise of the steel industry; nor is it likely that there will be anything more than a cursory coverage of how the Teamsters were completely controlled by organized crime until the federal government sued under RICO and began federal supervision of the union in 1989; nor is it likely that the lesson plan will include how the Machinists' strike put Eastern Airlines out of business, or how the UFCW helped bankrupt Arizona grocer Basha's.

This quote says it all: "Doyle said in a statement that he was happy to sign the bill so students would understand the importance of the labor movement in creating basic workplace rights." 

Apparently, the lesson plan will not include the conditions necessary to create those jobs which make "workplace rights" desired."

I am supporting this thread by restarting it with some current history.

Since 1995 I have been on Lipitor (up to 40mg) and three different blood pressure meds. I have asked several times, what it would take to reduce or eliminate those meds. I was told: Diet and Exercise, but not what kind of Diet & Exercise. Not to mentionFish Oil, CoQ10 and other OTC products.  After 20 years I weaned off the Rx drugs and started a low Carb regimen, slightly somewhat similar to the Adkins diet. I am eliminating as much (processed) wheat and sugar products; as well as packaged and sugar foods as possible, and including more protein and fat in my diet. I am losing weight and my blood pressure is down significantly. (Unfortunately, I have a desire for dark chocolate and ice cream with a little mint added.) Bullying - We know them by their words and deeds:

I’m sure we are all familiar with “bullying” as it relates to juveniles in our schools. So much that stopbulluing.gov has announced that the 49 th State has passed an anti-bullying law. I believe that bullying did not start in our schools but may have been learned based on exposure to events witnessed in everyday life. I saw this behavior while enrolled in a parochial grade school. There were some “different” children that some others liked to intimidate. These “different” children expressed temper as a  defense mechanism , and when they “went off” it appeared to be quite amusing to those instigating it. I felt this was dangerous and recognize it today as something to be aware of - with interactions and activities by some who want to assert their will, power or agenda. The protesting and “occupy” movements taking place around this country are examples that demonstrate this.
